Keep in mind that $223 roundtrip is the base price, and includes *only* a personal item. Low cost carriers charge extra for *everything*.
Carry-on bags cost around $38 each way, and checked bags cost $27 each way.
Approximately $283 CAD roundtrip is the more realistic price to use when comparing against other airlines.
If you do a quick search on Airbnb, you'll find many well-reviewed places to stay in Cabo San Lucas for under $100 CAD/night.
Update 10/28 - For the cheapest prices, focus on dates in November, the first half of December, and January. Other dates are now higher.
