Winnipeg to Paris, Barcelona, Venice, Prague | $845 roundtrip after taxes

Thanks to the contest on KLM, the cities of Paris, Barcelona, Prague, and Venice are now on sale from Winnipeg for around $845 roundtrip after taxes.
Barcelona was clearly the first choice for the public, but both Prague and Venice were selected for the discount as well, since the final tallies for these 2 cities were so close.
The fares have already been loaded into the major search engines, and can also be found on KLM's website. Competing airlines have also lowered their fares to match.
Air Canada
The available dates that have cheap prices vary by airline, but in general, the dates that look to have dropped are mostly concentrated between now and mid May, and dates between October 16 and December 10.
Here are some example searches on Kayak to get you started, but try your own dates. You can also try your dates on the airline's own websites.
Paris, France (CDG): Feb - Mar - Apr - May - Oct - Nov
Barcelona, Spain (BCN): Feb - Mar - Apr - May - Oct - Nov
Venice, Italy (VCE): Feb - Mar - Apr - May - Oct - Nov
Prague, Czech Republic (PRG): Feb - Mar - Apr - May - Oct - Nov
Also don't forget that certain airlines offer free stopovers in their main hub city for however many days you want...
KLM - Free stopovers in Amsterdam
Air France - Free stopovers in Paris
To get a free stopover it's usually easiest to book through the airline's own website, and search for a multi-city flight.
To get a free stopover in Amsterdam on KLM for example, here is what you would do:
1. Go to the KLM page for multi-city booking, found here:
http://www.klm.com/travel/ca_en/apps/ebt/ebt_home.htm?goToPage=home_multiple
2. Enter the following:
Winnipeg to Amsterdam - departing April 7 (or whatever date you want)
Amsterdam to Prague - departing April 10 (or whatever date you want)
Prague to Winnipeg - departing April 14 (or whatever date you want)
3. Hit Search. The price should be similar to the regular round-trip fare (perhaps a few dollars more in some cases).
4. Go through the booking process
You can do the same thing on Air France's site, but using Paris as your stopover city instead of Amsterdam.
Even though this sale is only being offered on off-season dates, it's still a very good price relative to what fares normally go for, especially to Prague which is usually a minimum of $1300 from Winnipeg.
KLM has said these fares will be available until February 14th. That's a little vague, since they didn't specify what time on February 14th they would expire. Sale prices on the other airlines will likely expire once KLM puts their fares back up.
Can't find this deal anymore? Prices change as deals sell out. The key is to be among the first to know when an amazing deal is posted.

Awesome deal to Europe.
Kayak has the great prices...$750 RT to Venice with a week stopover in Paris.
When I went to book on airfrance site, tried exact same flights as Kayak, it worked out to $9000 for my family. Me, wife, 3year old and newborn.
Any ideas why?

Usually the prices on Kayak will be the same as the airline's own website, since they're just using fare data submitted by the airlines themselves. But I have noticed on occasion a price that will be available through a search engine that isn't available through the airline's own site.
It could be for example that Kayak is constructing a fare using a combination of a flight on Air France and a flight on another airline (Winnipeg to Toronto on a certain airline and then Toronto to Venice on Air France for example) and Air France's website is unable to construct that same fare.

I'm trying to book Wpg/Prague on KLM and the cost is roughly $1,300. Was this deal on available on certain dates?
KLM has said that the deal will end on February 14 at 11:59PM. I imagine other airlines will put their fares back up around the same time.
Greg: I can see plenty of date combinations in the $800s using the Kayak searches above, but there might be certain dates that are sold out of the cheap fares on KLM. Might want to look on Kayak so you can search all the airlines at once to see what's available.

I tried some cities other than Amsterdam and it didn't work out to being a "free" stop over.
Multi-city seems to be the best bet.

No problem Jeff! Just to note, on KLM it *must* be Amsterdam that you choose to get the free stopover, as it's their international hub. And with Air France, it must be Paris.
We managed to get the best multi-city deal I've seen in 7 years!
YWG --> Paris
Venice --> YWG
$786!
That's half the price that this would have been 3 days ago.

Hi Chris - I missed the $800ish sale but prices for my dates in October from Winnipeg to Rome are currently $1097 including taxes. I`ve never been to Europe and wondering if that`s a good price.
